 Flat Top Civil War Era Trunk .
This is a very nice, smaller size, flat top trunk that is often referred to as a Civil War Era. It has an extremely rich and deep pumpkin pine color, the result of many years of just waiting.
Trunks like this are very useful because of their size and shape. It is an ideal candidate for a coffee table.
It's probably from a New England maker and has all of the original hardware including the original working lock and latch with a key. It also retains the original brass buttons around the steel banding.
