|  Early Louis Vuitton.
This Louis Vuitton trunk dates to the early 20th century. It was originally covered with woven monogram fabric. Over the years the fabric was worn and lost with only a fragment remaining. Our Louis Vuitton expert, Sylvain, has taken this trunk under his wing and brought it back to a fine state of preservation. The poplar wood body of the this trunk has been stained to bring out its unique grain. You can also observe the grooved character of the wood. The Vuitton company carved this pattern into the wood to better accept the glue which held the monogram fabric on.
We have restored the interior of this fine trunk and you might find it very useful as a coffee table or perhaps a nice addition to your bedroom. It has the original latches as well as the original working lock and key and a number of Louis Vuitton embossed brass buttons. We have also preserved the original label which remians intact. Did we mention that it would be perfect as a coffee table?
