 Wonderful
Early Half Trunk.
One of the
nicest half trunks we have ever seen. It's an early one too, most
likely made prior to the Civil War. It has the original brass
buttons as well as the wrought iron handles. What makes a nice
half trunk, you might ask. The shape, for one. This has a flat
top enhanced by rounded edges which make for a very pleasing look.
Color is important. This trunk has a rich honey color that can
only be found on wood that is 150 years old. Grain in the wood.
This has lively grain as well as some sizable knots that give
a lot of character. And that undefinable element. This one has
it but we can't define it.
Excellent
for storage of family pictures and small winter woolens. Or it
would make a nice end table. It has our tough durable finish and
will last for at least another 150 years or so.
Guaranteed for 100 years. Our trunks are guaranteed to
stand up to regular use for the next one hundred years.
