| Very Rare Bevel Top Wall Trunk.
The Wisconson company, MM Secor made many fine trunks in the last half of the 19th century. They made flat top trunks, dome top trunks, half trunks and this very fine and unusual bevel top wall trunk. To say the least, it's not that common to find a bevel top trunk or even a wall trunk. But to find both features combined is most rare.
This great trunk retains all of its original hardware including the latches, lid stay, and working lock with key. It has a tray included that was reproduced in our workshop. The original canvas covering is intact and restored to like new condition. The oak slats have been restored as well, bringing out the fine oak grain and patina that only 100 years can accomplish. It also has the original MM Secor brass plaque on the outside.
This is a medium sized trunk and would be most useful in just about any room of your home including the bedroom where it could be used for linens or winter woolens. Or perhaps you could use it as a coffee table in the living room where it would make a powerful statement.
Take this opportunity to own a trunk that comes along very seldom. This is a real treasure and heirloom.
