|  Early Striped Louis Vuitton Trunk.
These elegant, beige and brown striped trunks were only made by Louis Vuitton for 8-10 years in the late 1870s to mid 1880s and have become very desirable by collectors because of their beauty and scarcity.
This particular trunk is quite unusual in that it has two brass locks. Most trunks of this size only had one. It's pretty much intact retaining the iron handles, drawbolt, all four rollers on the bottom and part of the leather strap and buckle. The striped canvas shows a fair amount of wear. The steel edging is all there and it has the original pinstriped lining as well as the two original LV labels.
This trunk is fresh from the attic and is being offered by the consignor in its' original untouched condition. This is a great chance to pick up a nice, coffee table sized Louis Vuitton trunk for a very fair price. Excellent size for an apartment or small house.
