This is a fine and wonderful oil on canvas by the acclaimed artist Della Jean Kennedy who studied with the renowned Birger Sandzen and was considered his best student. However, this is not a student's work. It is the work of a professional and well practiced artist. The colors are incredible and the whole picture is well executed.
This painting is in it's original frame and comes from a West Coast estate where it has been since it was painted. It has a fair amount of craquelure and could use a mild cleaning. Nevertheless, the colors are still vibrant and show well. This is an excellent chance to buy a work by an under recognized artist. Sandzen's works are climbing rapidly, reaching into the several hundred thousand dollar range and his student's works are following suit. This is an investment grade painting in excellent condition.
