These
paintings are on actual thin wooden boards. It's a technique often
used in the past where the artist didn't have any canvas material
to use but still had a great desire to paint. They are of a mountain/lake
scene, most likely upstate NY.
There
is excellent detail and the color is strong although they could
use a cleaning. The paintings are their original gessoed and painted
frames. They are being sold as a pair.
